About Us

Turbans for Tots began in 2013 when its founder Jenna had her first baby girl. Like so many new moms, she wanted her little one to have something special, so she started sewing headbands and bows by hand. Her friends adored them, and before long she was filling requests left and right!

What started as a few handmade headbands, turned into an Etsy shop that quickly took off! Orders poured in, and Jenna grew a small but mighty team to keep up with demand. At its height, the Turbans for Tots office was buzzing with 18 talented makers - sewing, packaging, and shipping dozens of orders every single day!

I’m Deb, and my journey with T4T started in 2016. I came on board as a seamstress, sewing our beloved Flat Bow, Retro Knot, and Sailor’s Knot headbands (if you own one of those, there’s a good chance I made it!). 

Over time, I learned to craft every product we offered, managed our social media, and helped out with customer service.

In 2022, Jenna decided to pass the baton and pursue new adventures. After six wonderful years with the team, my husband Jared and I took a leap of faith and bought the company! We moved Turbans for Tots into our home office, where all your orders are now made by hand with love!

These days, I wear all the hats: seamstress, photographer, social media manager, customer service rep, and accountant. My sweet husband Jared supports me as “in-house barista” (he delivers me a hand crafted latte every morning), postal delivery driver, and Instagram hype man (you’ve probably seen his encouraging comments on our posts ;)

I come from a long line of seamstresses - at least four generations! My great-grandmother and grandmother sewed clothes for their families, and my mom created costumes for off-Broadway shows. She taught me everything I know!

It’s an absolute joy to own this company and continue the legacy! I love getting to hand craft pieces that make you smile, and it means the world when you share your little ones wearing them and tag us on social media!
